PEGASUS returned to the spotlight in February. A collaboration between global investigative journalists, the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project, and Forbidden Stories has revealed a misuse of the spyware to eavesdrop on activists, journalists, and politicians worldwide. The Pegasus, a software made by Israeli cyber-intelligence company NSO Group Technologies, is mentioned in the report.
