It is suspected that there has been the practice of extorting illegal levies in KPK detention centers for years. Prisoners can use cellular phones and order food via online delivery apps.
SHORTLY before leaving the Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) detention facility at the Merah Putih (Red and White) Building in Kuningan, South Jakarta, around July 2023, Petrus Bala Pattyona met with a uniformed officer in batik at the exit door.
