INVESTORS in Indonesian government bonds can feel some relief when they see the state budget for 2022. Here is a signal that the government is still holding on to fiscal discipline and following the rules. The government will reduce the ratio of deficit to gross domestic product (GDP) to below three percent by 2023. This is in line with Law No. 2/2020 on national financial policy with respect to the Covid-19 pandemic.
