Illegal Campaign Funds from Small Bank Loans

The PPATK has discovered dubious transactions in the accumulation of illegal campaign funds. The issue has implicated a cooperative initiated by Prabowo Subianto.

TRACING more than 6,000 accounts of general election participants and political party executives, the Financial Transaction Reporting and Analysis Center (PPATK) has found trillions of rupiah in suspicious transactions presumably serving as illegal campaign funds. PPATK Chief Ivan Yustiavandana said the findings have been reported to the General Election Commission (KPU) and the General Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu).
