Concrete House from Soiled Diapers

An alumnus from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) built a house made of materials from disposable diapers, reducing the need for sand in construction by 20-40 percent.

THE house at the end of Abah Buce Alley, Padasuka village, Cimenyan, Bandung Regency, West Java, looks unique compared to the other houses around it. The outer walls are covered in gray, lightweight concrete panels measuring 60 x 60 centimeters and are 1 centimeter thick.
