Cautiously Reopening Schools

Classroom teaching resumes on a limited scale at the beginning of August. Detailed guidelines for mitigation are needed to ensure that schools do not become new clusters for the spread of Covid-19.
THE government policy to reopen schools must be accompanied by an effective mitigation strategy to prevent the curve of Covid-19 cases rising again. Before asking parents to decide if their children can go back to school, the government must ensure that at least 80 percent of people living around schools where face-to-face learning is restarting have been vaccinated. There must also be infrastructure to trace the source of any infections quickly
