The Covid-19 social assistance corruption case allegedly involving PDI-P politicians, Herman Hery and Ihsan Yunus, has stalled. They are under the protection of high-ranking officers in the Corruption Eradication Commission.

IT seems appropriate to say the initials KPK stand for “komisi pelindung koruptor” (the commission protecting corruptors) instead of the Corruption Eradication Commission. At least this was apparent when the institution investigated corruption in the Covid-19 pandemic social aid program. Instead of going after the high-ranking masterminds, the Commission let them off scot free from legal entanglement.
