A number of institutions are against the proposed government regulation on maritime security. Sectoral egos provide opportunities for illegal levies.
THE government should not hesitate to issue the regulation on the enforcement of maritime law and security. As well as coordinating a number of institutions in guarding Indonesia waters, this regulation is necessary to eradicate illegal levies at sea.
