The government must be ready to deal with the impact of a global recession, which is staring us in the face. Spending on major projects should be reexamined and reduced in order to improve the buying power of vulnerable people.

WARNINGS by a number of international institutions mean that a global recession is a real threat and that we must be on the alert.
