The conflict in Papua has resulted in malnourished displaced people. The humanitarian pause does not touch on the concrete problems in Papua.
Papua is facing a real humanitarian crisis. Thousands of people have been displaced. Children have died of edema and malnutrition. They have been caught up in the conflict between the Indonesian Military (TNI) and armed groups. In Maybrat, Southwest Papua, supplies of food have stopped. Dozens of children have died of diarrhea and edema.
