Central Sulawesi designates six indigenous community forests as strategic areas in its Spatial Planning Design. This is a first for Indonesia.
LAST month, the To Kulawi Uma Masewo indigenous community in Pipikoro subdistrict, Sigi, Central Sulawesi, received a mid-year gift. In a plenary session on Tuesday, June 13, the provincial legislative council and government agreed on a bylaw on Provincial Spatial Planning (RTRW) from 2023 to 2042.
