Rekayasa Industri’s portion in the consortium of TPPI’s olefin refinery megaproject is reportedly being eroded. The company’s poor financial performance report is to blame.
EVEN though it was selected as one of the potential contractors of the olefin and aromatic refinery megaproject at the Trans-Pacific Petrochemical Indotama (TPPI) complex in Tuban, East Java, Rekayasa Industri, also known as Rekind, could not breathe a sigh of relief. The subsidiary of Pupuk Indonesia, the holding company for state-owned enterprises (SOEs) engaged in the fertilizer industry sector, is facing a mountain of financial problems.
