A number of regional hospitals and pharmacies experience Covid-19 medication shortages. Efforts to overcome this include borrowing from vendors and prescription modifications.
SINCE the coronavirus’ Delta variant hit Indonesia, Paulus Wisnu Kuncoromurti has been more than busy. The head of physicians managing Covid-19 at the Wonosari Regional General Hospital in the Gunungkidul Regency, Yogyakarta, not only has a crisis of hospital bed shortages, but also a dearth in medicine for coronavirus treatment. For almost two months, starting in early June, the hospital has frequently run out of Covid-19 medication.
