A year after taking over the case of Pertamina’s LNG procurement from the Attorney General’s Office, the Corruption Eradication Commission is still keeping the name of the suspect secret. The target is an official during Yudoyono’s presidency.
APPARENTLY, there is something worse than watering down corruption eradication. It is politicizing cases of corruption: that is, handling corruption based on political interests. Prosecution is no longer based on objective facts, but is instead based on political motivation. Those to be apprehended are decided upon unilaterally.
