HACKERS only need confusion in order to create major panic in the financial system. A paralysis of financial services as a result of a cyberattack would be enough to trigger widespread anger from customers who could not conduct transactions. If this attack were more organized, it is not impossible that the whole economy would suffer severe damage.
This is the significant danger behind the success of the financial sector in the digital era.
