Indonesia needs to follow the example of the Netherlands, which based its policy on a historical investigation of the history of the 1945-1949 War of Independence. There is no need to make a fuss about financial compensation.
FORGET about making accusations, abandon the desire to ask for compensation. What the government of Indonesia needs to do after the Dutch government apologized for the systematic violence it carried out during the War of Independence is to encourage historical research.
